Pest Control: Get Rid Of Diseases And Save Lives
Cockroaches are frightening crawlers that hide in the shadows, nooks, and dark corners of the home. They most of the time go towards the kitchen; scavenging left-over food and usually preferring carbohydrates over protein. Cockroaches can also take refuge in the closets, where they hatch their eggs in the pockets of your favourite shirt.
Thanks to the blockbuster hit Men In Black (1997), cockroaches have increased notoriety as being the pest of all pests; trailing closely behind are rats, mosquitoes, bed bugs, and ants. The thought makes you itch and squirm.
Although you want none of these pests in your house, office, or in your children’s school, the fact remains that many of them, especially cockroaches, have been living with humans from the very beginning of time. In fact, roaches are observed to be particularly stubborn and just won’t easily go away.
It has long been debated that cockroaches can survive a nuclear attack. Scientists say that cockroaches have high threshold for the bad effects of radiation. They attribute this to the DNA structure of the roaches’ outer skin or shell, which they say regenerates faster than that of humans when exposed to nuclear radiation.
Luckily, for humans and for Mother Earth, pest control does not require nuclear weaponry. Sure hits can be delivered with military precision by your foot, if you decide to take a “personal stand” on the matter, or by professional pest control companies.
Pest control companies commonly use boric dust to discourage a population of roaches, mosquitoes and rats. The boric dust is made of boric acid or boron salt. It has a lot of commercial uses, primarily for roach control. Higher concentration of boron means the dust is in its pure form. If you intend to apply it yourself, make sure to read, understand, and strictly follow the instructions.
Otherwise, leave it to the professionals. Hiring pest control companies is more practical since many have been in the industry of keeping families and properties protected from pests for years. Ultimate pest control is not a luxury but a need. This is because pests are agents of disease-causing bacteria and germs and, therefore, pose a serious threat to good health.
