I understood what all I did not want. I did not want a traditional crib. Don’t get me wrong, I have found them very beautiful and classy, but they’re not my type. I was searching and looking at some catalogs of baby cribs and discovered a style referred to as modern cribs. I examined them with my husband and told him I which one I wanted as our baby’s new crib.

Most modern cribs are usually simpler in construction and looks. They are lustrous and don’t take much space. That was our problem too, we live in an apartment building and, even though the newborn might have her nursery, following a dresser and changing table and a glider chair, there’s really hardly any space to keep a large crib.

Plus, I like that it sits low on the ground. I love the fact that when my baby can stand up, I can sit on the floor and play peek-a-boo with her. It’s another reason why I love modern these cribs.

Another type I used to search for was the DaVinci Emily 4 in 1 Crib. It is also one of the newer modern baby cribs which is a convertible crib as well. It can convert from a crib to a toddler bed and then into a daybed. Furthermore, it’s got some the same mattress spring system adjustment and contains a fixed side. Furthermore, it sits low on the ground.

Modern baby cribs display my style with their simple design. However, through my entire search, safety always came first. I’m able to forego my fascination with modern baby cribs if they can’t satisfy my need for a secure and compliant crib for my baby. Ultimately, the Babyletto Modo 3 in 1 Crib did not disappoint.
